Exciting news! We are coming LIVE to a city near you. What does this mean, exactly? We’re bringing the BRIKA brand, our Makers, and their inspiring stories to life via pop-up shops across North America. Our first stop is Toronto, our very own backyard.
As of Wednesday, October 9, the BRIKA pop-up shop will be open in Toronto’s flagship Hudson’s Bay (more on that below) at 176 Yonge Street. We will be featuring incredible “homegrown” talent from Canada, and all products will also be available online, for those of you outside the city and country.
In addition to being “Yes” people (as noted in this Design*Sponge article), when it comes to partnerships, Kena and I believe in honing in on the people we are dying to work with, and then figuring out how to convince them to do something with us!
When we considered potential partners for our Canadian launch (to celebrate amazingly talented Canadian makers), we thought deeply about those who shared our values and truly believed in our big vision. Our dream was to work with Hudson’s Bay, the oldest retailer in North America. With a footprint throughout Canada (and the US, via Lord & Taylor and, now, Saks Fifth Avenue), they are the epitome of modern with a heritage twist.
We could not be more excited about our offline presence and, over the next few months, we will be “popping up” in more cities near you! Stay tuned…
Partnerships are a beautiful thing.
