It might come as a bit of a surprise to learn that you can use journaling to achieve your goals, practice mindfulness and live a more beautiful life, but one session with journaling expert Kat Akerfeldt and you’ll be a believer, too. The assistant curator at Toronto’s First Post Office, her sold-out workshops prove that sometimes all you need to make positive change is a carte blanche (literally).
As a fan of all things paper, a lifelong goal-setter and with a mile-long to-do list, she became an enthusiastic early adopter of bullet journaling, an app-eschewing paper-and-pen system that relies on note-taking and bullet points for structure, organization and goal-achieving. The movement has exploded in popularity recently: just ask everyone from the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg to Buzzfeed and Vogue.
